Michigan Springboard
Trainings
Springboard Trainings give grassroots activists the opportunity to begin developing the core skills and connections you need to expand your political leadership horizons. Through a combination of lectures, group activities, and simulations you will learn the fundamentals of:
- Delivering an effective message
- Working with the media
- Grassroots and Grasstops Fundraising
- Recruiting and Retaining Volunteers
- Strategic Campaign Management
Springboard Trainings are divided into two tracks to meet the particular skills and leadership development needs of leaders on a variety of paths:
1. Activists, Organizers & Community Leaders: Learn how to effectively organize, advocate, motivate and campaign for issues you care about! You will gain core skills in message development and delivery, fundraising, field organizing, paid and earned media, and using technology to organize effectively.
2. Future Candidates: Learn how to navigate the political landscape and develop your personal political identity to run for office confidently and effectively. Begin developing skills in fundraising, speech delivery, media communication, relationship building, and strategic planning.
