Mary Rebecca Wilson is currently employed at the United States Department of Veterans Affairs as a Veterans Service Representative.  She completed her Master’s of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University in 2004.  She then went on to work on several political campaigns, which included, John Kerry/John Edwards 2004; Frank G. Jackson for Mayor 2005; Ted Strickland/Lee Fisher for Governor 2006 and most recently Barack Obama for President 2007-2008.


Ms. Wilson also is the Community Outreach Coordinator at the Renee Jones Empowerment Center.  She is currently working on a pilot program called Project Red Cord a diversion program to prevent street prostitution and human trafficking awareness in the greater Cleveland area. 

 

Her other community involvement includes:  Co-Vice Chair of the Cuyahoga Democratic Women’s Caucus, Leadership Council member of the Ohio Democratic Women’s Caucus, OYD Cares Coordinator for the Ohio Young Democrats, Executive Committee Member of the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party and member of the Cleveland Ward 17 Democratic Club.  Ms. Wilson’s professional development includes: 2009 Center for Progressive Leadership Ohio graduate, Graduate of the 2009 Westside Leadership Collaborative of Cleveland; Neighborhood Leadership Cleveland Class 24 graduate at Cleveland State University, College of Urban Affairs and Camp Wellstone.
