Welcome to the Pennsylvania Regional Council, based in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. Here in Pennsylvania, we have a staff and volunteer team of progressive activists from a broad range of backgrounds who are all united behind a common goal: building a powerful and diverse candidate development program for emerging progressive leaders.

Pennsylvania is proud to be the first state launching the State Political Leaders Fellowship in 2005. Through this 9 month long intensive program, we will be providing 60 emerging progressive leaders around the state with the training, networks and support they need to develop a new level of political success. Learn more about the program here.

We need your help supporting the Pennsylvania Political Leaders Fellowship!

  • Help us build a base for our programs in Pennsylvania. Host a fundraiser, write a letter campaign, or connect us to large non-profit donors. We also need people to help connect us to established political leaders around the state. Contact Pennsylvania State Director Jordan Schwartz at jschwartz@progressleaders.org to help us build our resources.

  • Help us recruit up-and-coming progressive leaders to participate in our fellowship. CPL is especially focused on attracting emerging minority, female and youth leaders. Contact Director of Outreach Brandon Silverman at bsilverman@progressleaders.org to help with our recruitment efforts.
