New Leaders Fellowship

CPL’s New Leaders Fellowship helps talented young people of color, women and GLBT youth who are looking for full-time employment jump-start their careers in the progressive movement.  During the six-month fellowship, diverse young leaders are matched with full-time, paid positions at leading progressive organizations.  CPL provides intensive leadership and skills training, coaching and networking opportunities during the fellowship.

Qualified applicants will be matched with a leading progressive organization in their state, based on their background and experience.  During the fellowship, Fellows will receive a full-time salary from the organization with which they are matched.

New Leaders Fellows will receive ongoing support from CPL, including:

  • Leadership training and skill-building opportunities
  • Career coaching and mentoring from experienced progressive leaders
