Executive Associate
Full Time Position - Washington, DC
The Center for Progressive Leadership (CPL) is a national political training institute that develops diverse leaders who can effectively advance progressive political and policy change. Through long-term, comprehensive programs for organizational leaders, political professionals, activists and future candidates, CPL provides promising leaders with the skills, resources, and networks needed to become powerful progressive leaders.
With a deep commitment to developing diverse, grassroots leaders, CPL has six permanent offices (Arizona, Colorado, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.) and is opening 1-2 new offices each year.
CPL’s 35 staff and faculty across the country work every day to identify, recruit, train, coach, and mentor promising and diverse progressive leaders. Over the next three years, CPL has ambitious plans to add 4-6 new state offices, build a national training center and dorm in Washington DC, launch an intensive national fellowship program for the most promising progressive leaders in the country, double our staff team, and train thousands of diverse progressive leaders.

Job Description
The Executive Associate will provide executive level administrative support to the Executive Team (President, Vice President for External Affairs, and Vice President for State Operations) independently handling all assigned administrative duties including:
- Facilitating communications between the Executive Team and various constituent groups
- Tracking multiple projects and interface regularly with a variety of partner organizations
- Organizing executive travel and schedules
- Maintaining comprehensive filing system, fundraising database, and conduct other clerical processes to optimize information flow within and outside the Executive Team
- Coordinating with External Team on Board-related administrative tasks and fundraising efforts
- Drafting, editing and proofreading formal correspondence
- Excellent organizational skills with high level of attention to detail and follow-up
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Strong command of Excel is a must
- Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to interact with all levels of internal and external stakeholders. Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information
- Comfortable working with various forms of technology
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Minimum three years increasingly responsible administrative work experience in a fast-paced, challenging work environment; preferably in a non-profit organization
- Proven ability to work with senior level executives, both internal and external.
- College degree preferred

Salary:
The Center for Progressive Leadership offers competitive salaries, including benefits for all full-time employees. Salary commensurate with experience.
