Having trouble logging on to Outlook or the CPL File Server? You may need to change your password. To do so please follow the steps below:
Update Expired Password
- Click here to open a browser window where you can update your password (note - will open a new browser window so you can keep these instructions up).
- Enter the following information:
- Login using your existing email credentials
- If your password has expired you will be prompted to update your password.
- Enter Old password: The current password you have been using
- Enter A New password: A new password that must meet the following requirements: Not be the same as your last 3 passwords; be at least 6 characters long; not contain your first or last name as part of the password; and contain at least 3 out of 4 of the following types of characters: Upper Case Letters, lower case letters, numbers (0, 1, 2...) or symbols (!, @, #...).
- Confirm new password: Re-enter your new password
- Click OK.
- You should get a message that your password was successfully changed. If you get an error message that your password did not meet complexity requirements, try again following the instructions above.
- If you still have problems please contact the CPL Technology Department - we can change you password for you on the mail server.
Standard Change Password Process

- Once you have logged in look to the right side to the page for the "Change Password" link and click
- A secondary window will pop up.
- Enter Old password: The current password you have been using
- Enter A New password: A new password that must meet the following requirements: Not be the same as your last 3 passwords; be at least 6 characters long; not contain your first or last name as part of the password; and contain at least 3 out of 4 of the following types of characters: Upper Case Letters, lower case letters, numbers (0, 1, 2...) or symbols (!, @, #...).
- Confirm new password: Re-enter your new password
- Click OK.
