Marj Halperin

2009 National Faculty Member

 

Marj Halperin is a strategic management professional with 20 years experience managing external and internal communications strategies for corporations, non-profits and government agencies. Her solid track record encompasses all areas of communications, from reputation management, crisis communications and media relations to internal communications and culture change strategies. She also has delivered high-impact public relations programs with results-driven management, program design and execution. Halperin brings an extensive network of relationships and partners to each project and is widely recognized for her integrity, emphasis on consensus building and strong presence in business, government and media circles.

 

Full time positions on Halperin’s resume include President and CEO of the League of Chicago Theatres, where she positioned Chicago’s live theater industry as a high profile brand recognized internationally for talent and creative innovation. Halperin began her professional career as an award-winning journalist. Her political commentary is currently featured on the WGN-TV Morning News and her radio reports have been featured on local Chicago radio as well as NPR and NBC Radio Network News. Halperin remains an occasional guest newscaster on WXRT-FM and contributor to The American Prospect and Chicago Sun-Times, among others.
